Ministry internships

Make hands-on ministry a true learning experience.

Design an internship that equips emerging leaders through real responsibility, intentional mentoring, and an academic pathway built around your mission.

Talk About Your Program

Powered by Eleven:6

Experience becomes formation when someone designs the learning around it.

Frontline ministries need capable, spiritually grounded leaders. Young adults need meaningful places to test their calling, build skill, and learn from people already doing the work.

Eleven:6 connects those needs. We help ministries translate daily work into a structured internship with clear outcomes, reflection, coaching, and optional degree pathways.

From the front lines

The measure is what changes in people and ministries.

“When I committed to moving to Haiti, I was sure there was no chance of me ever getting a college degree, and that was harder to accept than I thought it would be. When the opportunity to earn a degree doing what I love in the place that I love was presented to me, it seemed too good to be true. I loved every bit of it.”

“When Breathe Partners chose to partner with Eleven:6, we hit a grand slam. They are constantly improving their services and they are always available with timely solutions. Our students are excelling in ministry as they excel in their courses. They are exceptional students and leaders on the front lines of ministry.”

Practical questions

What ministries ask before they begin.

How is an internship different from a residency?

Internships are often shorter and focused on exploration and skill-building. Residencies usually carry broader responsibility and prepare someone for a defined ministry role. Either can be designed with clear learning outcomes.

What can a ministry internship include?

A program may combine supervised ministry assignments, mentoring, team meetings, reading, reflection, leadership practice, and academic coursework.

Can interns earn college credit?

Some programs can connect to credit-bearing courses or degree pathways. Credit, transfer, tuition, and degree applicability remain under the university’s authority.

How long should an internship last?

Length depends on the ministry cycle and desired outcomes. Summer, semester, and yearlong formats can all work when responsibilities, mentoring, and assessment fit the timeframe.

Your mission, multiplied
