About Arrowhead Bible Camp

Arrowhead Bible Camp is a year-round camp with full care overnight camp programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. They serve over 350 campers each year… providing the unforgettable experience of camp! Their disabilities programming has also given them great opportunities year-round to enhance the impact of camp.

Each year Arrowhead hosts dozens of volunteer groups that serve at camp for a week or weekend, and they hire high school and college students to serve each Summer.

Arrowhead has recently doubled their disabilities program camp sessions from 18 to 36 weeks a year. The expansion also includes a new educational program for young adults who serve with them year-round. As they meet the increasing need for disabilities programming, the camp is leveraging the intensive lifestyle experience of camp to train up the next generation… through discipleship and leadership development, with a focus on business training and the personal care of people.

About The Launch Initiative (TLI)

The Launch Initiative (TLI) is an intensive discipleship and leadership training Christian GAP year program designed to give graduated high school students real life experience prior to further education, finding a career or starting a family. TLI is a “bridge” that provides crucial mentoring, living skills training, personal development and healthy community in the unique camping ministry context of Arrowhead Bible Camp. TLI uses a missions support platform, challenging students to develop a missional mindset, create a network of ministry supporters and experience lifestyle ministry with the opportunity to complete the program debt free.

What was the catalyst for Arrowhead to create The Launch Initiative? What challenges or needs led you to look for a solution like Eleven:6?

Why did you choose Eleven:6 over alternative partners?

Choosing Eleven:6 was an easy decision. Our criteria was more relational than technical. Eleven:6 has the same heartbeat for ministry, like-minded Kingdom focus, and entrepreneurial passion that we do. Eleven:6 is also more concerned and more interested in what God is doing in our Christian GAP year program… meaning how they can serve us, not be served.

Eleven:6 is also great with the technical side of our partnership. They make everything easier. They are quick to respond to questions, needs, issues, and concerns with solutions that fit and our customized to our ministry.

What metrics — or key performance indicators — do you use to determine program success?

We focus on a range of KPIs:

• Mission-oriented: Direct program feedback and continued program growth.
• Outcomes: Trajectory progress for and spiritual formation of each TLI student.
• Enrollment: Finding ideal students that fit our program and our mission.
• Organizational: Connected to core and behavioral values.

How has the partnership with Eleven:6 impacted your program?

We needed to take the impact of our Christian GAP year program to the next level. Eleven:6 provided us with the online platform, support, and resources (lots of quality resources). Partnering with Eleven:6 has increased ministry and revenue through the enhancement of the services we provide.

Our partnership with Eleven:6 has been a tremendous part of meeting our goals – surrounding our mission and our yearly vision. That success has inspired the continued growth and expansion of our ministry in many new ways. That is something you can’t put a price tag on. I can’t recommend Eleven:6 enough.
